For NDIS Service providers we need to remember that Transparency means,
- There is a communication system that is easy to use for staff and participants to know what is planned and happening each day
- There is an easy way for staff and participants to access procedures that are in plain language
- When mistakes happen it is treated as an opportunity to review things and is done openly without fear, so everyone can see honest and accountable staff, management and people
- Communication is continuous and not hidden
- Information can be accessed in real time by all involved
- External agencies can access anything they should be able to with ease
- Costs, budgets and service delivery plans are accessible and straight forward
- External professionals are incorporated into all part of the service as a check and balance
